How it works, in 3 points

• The lenses react to UV: the stronger the sun, the darker they get, within seconds.
• In the shade or indoors they lighten to a soft tint, specific to each colour. They never turn fully clear: that is a design choice.
• Behind a windshield, which blocks part of the UV, they darken less. That is normal, and true of every photochromic lens.
